The availability of massive amounts of information and the ability to readily exchange data has enabled information systems to obtain data worldwide. Availability of data has reached unprecedented levels, and the way that data is processed and presented to the end user is of upmost importance. Data fusion refers to combining information from multiple sources to achieve a more concise and comprehensible understanding of the data. WTI is currently partnered with multiple agencies across the Department of Defense to provide a single, coherent, and collaborative view of data, analytics, and a shared knowledge platform for the intelligence community.
For many organizations, intelligence data and production are stuck in document-based products and organizational silos. Document-based intelligence products are created, and consumers of the data are required to visit multiple databases to gather all the information they require. Although intelligence is primarily in human readable formats, mission constraints and large volumes of data impede human analysts’ ability to read and synthesize disparate data in a timely enough manner to optimize operational decisions. WTI aims to address some of the major operational challenges and constraints that exist with overwhelming amounts of data within the intelligence community. WTI has done this through a platform as a service (PaaS) solution, allowing for access of information in unprecedented ways.
WTI’s solution enables the transition of data to machine readable formats and automated correlation of data on object and activities of interest so decision makers at all levels have access to current intelligence. Utilization of data fusion delivers analysts a web-enabled user interface that allows for intuitive search and discovery as well as coherent and customizable formatting. This system is purpose built for object-based production (OBP) and activity-based intelligence (ABI) to serve the future of intelligence analysis and adheres to leading edge and published standards to include W3C, RDF, OWL, basic formal ontology (BFO), common core ontology (CCO), and is integrating with the defense intelligence common ontology (DICO). Additionally, the system is Air Battle Management System (ABMS) ready with PaaS and SaaS capabilities that enable data and sharing capabilities that can be integrated with the global sensing grid.
WTI has operationalized the future vision of our customers using leading edge technologies that incorporate data fusion and enable artificial intelligence and machine learning. Our solutions deliver machine-readable intelligence and automated break down and data fusion. This establishes a foundation to advance the future using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics. WTI is postured to provide proven solutions to complex data fusion challenges.
