WTI’s Scott Buckel, along with his team, The Cyclepaths, participated in Cycle for Survival, a movement to beat rare cancers.  Cycle for Survival supports research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) through high-energy indoor team cycling fundraising events. On a team or individually, participants ride stationary bikes tag-team style in four, hour-long shifts. In between shifts, participants are treated to inspiring messages from cancer researchers and cancer survivors. Scott, along with his team, rode in an event in New York which raised $78,941 to advance innovative studies and clinical trials led by MSK. The 2019 Fundraising total for all events is currently $41,464,802.

Fast Facts about Cycle for Survival:

  • 50% of people with cancer have a rare cancer.
  • 100% of funds raised go to lifesaving research led by MSK.
  • Donations will be in the hands of doctors and researchers within six months of the event for fast impact.

This is the second year WTI is proud to sponsor Scott in support of Cycle for Survival’s efforts to beat cancer.
