On January 26, WTI Technical Engineer Brent Reitze joined the more than 10,000 plungers who braved the frigid 34℉ waters of the Chesapeake Bay in support of Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD). The annual event held at Sandy Point State Park raised over $2,090,000 to help SOMD athletes train and compete across the state, year-round, free of charge. WTI is proud to support the 7,782 athletes of Special Olympics Maryland. Well done, Brent!

WTI is committed to continuous improvement and closing the capability gap and has again been appraised at Level 3 of the CMMI® Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development. This means WTI’s development processes are well characterized and understood and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. WTI was also appraised again at Level 2 of the CMMI® Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services. WTI’s services projects use processes and are planned and executed accordingly with skilled people.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors, now the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), has the same mission — to inform, engage and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy. USAGM awarded WTI a contract to support Voice of America’s (VOA) mission to develop new customer-centric digital products that enhance audience engagement and increase VOA’s global market share.  This award continues a partnership that started in 2013, when WTI contributed to the development of a global mobile news platform that delivered news and information to people in more than 100 countries in 43 languages on the world’s two largest smartphone and tablet platforms.

WTI received a contract award from the Soldier Support Institute at Ft. Jackson, SC for Doctrine Support. Under this contract WTI will support the Director for Capabilities Development Integration Directorate (CDID) and Concepts and Doctrine Division, United States Army Chaplain Center and School. Our personnel will carry out individual program responsibilities to direct doctrine products and manage day-to-day operations for the overall office management, serving as the element of continuity to ensure that standard operating procedures support established mission objectives.

Arlington County, VA has newly awarded WTI a competitive five-year contract in support of Arlington Economic Development (AED), continuing a relationship that began over ten years ago.  AED is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of an economically competitive and sustainable community and the creation of exciting, diverse and amenity-rich places. WTI provides website design and development, user experience and web analytics support.

Washington Technology announced the fifty fastest-growing small businesses in the DC area for 2018.  Rankings are based on revenue growth over the past five years.
